Retreats

A Deeper Still retreat is an experience like no other! You will encounter the root issues that led you to abortion and become aware of how deeply God has provided for your healing. As you begin to experience freedom from guilt and shame, you will personally and profoundly know that "If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed!" John 8:36

About Our Team

Caring, well-trained team members will guide you through a sequence of exercises that engage your heart as well as your mind. Over 80% of our team were former retreat participants who understand your feelings firsthand. All of us are passionate about seeing abortion wounded hearts heal, and we are committed to praying for you before, during, and after your retreat, while serving you with love. Breakout sessions provide personalized, confidential ministry.

The Retreat Format

A retreat lets you take a break from the responsibilities of your life to focus on your healing by encountering God, our Healer. The beautiful retreat grounds provide a supportive and safe environment to be still and to reflect. Deeper Still Tampa Bay retreats are always free to participants thanks to generous donors and volunteers.

The Retreat Schedule

Our retreats run from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. If you are coming in from out of town, we suggest you plan to arrive on Thursday and stay the night at a hotel near the retreat location, or make an arrangement with our hospitality team to stay with a host home.

We can provide you with transportation to and from the Tampa International Airport (TPA) or the Clearwater / St. Petersburg airport (PIE), or you can rent a car if you prefer.

Serving Both Women and Men

Even if you've been hurt by the other gender, we've discovered that the mix of men and women can allow even deeper levels of healing to take place than what occurs in a same-gender retreat.  We understand that the hurt can be severe and even triggering, so be assured that male team members assist the men, and female team members assist the women.

Is a Retreat Right for Me?

Have you experienced any of the following feelings or attitudes?

  • You feel you deserve bad things to happen to you

  • You avoid the subject of abortion

  • You're fearful of meeting your child in heaven

  • You find ways to punish yourself or others

  • You find yourself preoccupied with thoughts surrounding the abortion

  • You deal with sexual dysfunction

  • You feel guilt, shame, or sadness over the abortion

  • You are lonely

  • You don't feel you can grieve your aborted child

  • You're suffering from low self-esteem or feelings of unworthiness

  • You medicate your pain through drugs, alcohol, or promiscuity.

  • You've had failed relationships or marital stress

I'm unsure...I don't think I need a retreat.

If you aren't sure if you should attend, it may be helpful to talk to someone who has already attended a retreat. We invite you to contact us, and a past participant will reach back to you to share their experiences and help answer your questions.

We are also available to pray with you.  A retreat may not be the first step, or the best step, for this part of your healing journey. But prayer is always timely.  We will gladly pray that you find the right "next step".

God does not want you stuck in regret.
